Scalpel Blade

In mycology we use scalpels to clone mushrooms, isolate cultures and work with agar. A scalpel can be flame sterilized to ensure it's clean. Flame sterilizing the scalpel with a butane torch or alcohol flame is crucial in ensuring that you avoid any contamination.
